Homicide and attempted homicide
2010. Arapahoe County. Client charged with two counts of first-degree murder and seven additional counts. Not guilty on all counts.
2013. Death penalty not sought.
2017. First-degree murder. Not guilty. Codefendant convicted.
November 2017. First-degree murder, attempted murder, and habitual-criminal allegations. Not guilty on all counts. Codefendant convicted.
2018. First-degree murder. Self-defense case dismissed two weeks before trial.
2018. First-degree murder. Plea to criminally negligent homicide with credit for time served.
2021. Three counts of attempted murder. Not guilty.
2023. Second-degree murder. Not guilty after a two-hour jury deliberation. Client had faced 48 years.
2023. Older homicide conviction reversed on appeal for a jury-instruction error, then resolved with credit for time served.
2024. Homicide. Not guilty.
2026. Murder-for-hire. Plea structured so the client can be released, against a higher sentence for a codefendant.
Sexual assault and related charges
2016. Sexual assault on a child. Conviction carrying 10-to-life reversed. Retrial. Acquitted.
2018. Sexual assault. Seven-day jury trial. Not guilty.
2018. Kidnapping and sexual assault. Dismissed two days before trial.
2021. Sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. Not guilty. The defense was fabrication.
2024. Sexual assault. Not guilty on all counts.
Weapons
2020. Federal possession of a weapon by a prohibited person. State case dismissed, then picked up federally. Not guilty.
2021. Thirteen counts of possession of a weapon by a prohibited person. Not guilty.
Federal drug and RICO cases
2013. Federal drug conspiracy. Not guilty. Codefendant convicted.
2018. Federal indictment dismissed after voice analysis showed it was not the client’s voice on the wiretap.
2019. Federal RICO. Best available resolution for the client.
2019. New Mexico RICO case involving 110 defendants. Credit for time served.
2019. Charge carrying 30-to-life dismissed after a suppression ruling.
2020. Multi-kilo federal drug case. Not guilty.
2024. Federal case. Not guilty on the most severe charge.
2025. Federal wiretap conspiracy. Not guilty.

2020. Post-conviction (PCR) with expert litigation. New trial granted.
