The vehicles are Chevy Trailblazers, GMC Envoys, Buick Rainiers, Saab 9-7x, and Isuzu Ascenders. Moisture in the driver’s door may cause a short circuit in the switch, which can lead to overheating and potentially fire. GM is offering a free repair to all owners of the recalled vehicles, and recommends parking the vehicles outdoors until the repair has been made. Similar issues have resulted in recalls by several other auto manufacturers in recent years.
